Back home again
I'm Michael. And I'm really looking forward to the Jochalm this summer! (Ok, I still have to grow my beard a bit!)
As a native of Würmlach, I'm deeply connected to my homeland. And back to when I was 11 years old, I was spending my summer holidays on a mountain pasture. local farmers of Reisach-Forst told me that the Jochalm was looking for a new tenant, I didn't hesitate for a second. The previous tenants did everything wonderfully, and they made a particularly fantastic cheese. Needless to say, I hope that I'm a worthy successor.
While I had studied agriculture (HBLA for Alpine Agriculture Origin), my higher studies (in Commercial Sciences at Vienna University of Economics and Business) sent me out into the world. Although I've seen many countries and got to know many cultures, the older I get, the more I am drawn back to my home - to my Gailtal valley.
I've built up a great team for the summer - experienced, enthusiastic and innovative people. And they all strongly support the project to make the Reisacher Jochalm the first alpine pasture in Austria to be plastic-free!
I'm very much looking forward to your visit and to having a good glass of wine and delicious cheese together with you!
See you soon!
